The Damned, considerado el responsable de iniciar el movimiento Punk en el Reino Unido junto a bandas como Sex Pistols y The Clash, es un grupo de Rock formado en Londres, en 1976. Fue la primera banda Punk inglesa en lanzar un sencillo (New Rose), sacar un álbum (Damned, Damned, Damned), y recorrer los Estados Unidos. En el año 1980 sale The black álbum.
