The final cut es el duodécimo álbum de Pink Floyd. Se lanzó en 1983. Se trata de un álbum conceptual y es el último de la banda en contar con la participación de Roger Waters, quien aparece acreditado como compositor y letrista de todas las canciones del disco. La mayoría de ellas cuentan con la voz de Waters como vocalista principal; el guitarrista líder David Gilmour aporta su voz a sólo una de las doce canciones del disco, Not now John.

2 Belgen, banda belga integrante de la nueva ola de los años 80. Sus canciones más conocidas y populares son Opération Coup de Poing, Queen of Mine y especialmente Lena. La banda fue formada inicialmente con el cantante y guitarrista Rembert De Smet y el baterista Herman Celis. Más tarde, De Smet se centró en el uso del sintetizador de guitarra. En 1982, el primer single Quand lanzó la película Est triste / Lena y el primer álbum 2 Belgen. Después de este primer álbum, el dúo se extendió a una banda real.

Circle Jerks es una veterana banda de hardcore punk formada en Hermosa Beach, California por Keith Morris y Greg Hetson en 1979. La banda abanderó, junto a Dead Kennedys o Black Flag, la escena musical punk californiana de finales de los años 70.
