Su primer simple ¨I Don´t Care¨ fue seguido de un tour como soporte del ex Velvet Underground John Cale. El segundo simple ¨First Time¨ fue aclamado por la prensa como uno de los mejores de la época y entro directo al top 40 ingles junto con su álbum debut: "The Boys". Londres ardía de punk rock y en sus shows hacían apariciones sorpresa personajes como Johnny Thunders o Marianne Faithfull.
